people don't realize that NeX stuff on sale now can be purchased with in game ISK through purchasing PLEX.
This is all very disheartening and the lack of a response... Anyway I just wanted to throw another question out there and ask what business model you based this on. Am I to believe there are people in that office paid to come up with ideas like this?
For example...
Game A. want vets with huge wallets to purchase them with isk... while taking in the occasional plex purchase direct buyer at $60-whateveritis. Instead of raking in $15.00 from X (current subscribers) accounts for some cool items.
game B sells "high class" vanity item for $25. Clears $2m in sales within 4 hours
Even with the subscriber#/playerbase difference I'm sure they made far more per player than CCP did.
I would have been happy to give CCP some extra change for boots or whatever vanity item, or even happier if it was all included for free and they just upped the sub a few dollars. (with the recent memo leak, i dont want to give you any ideas. even saying that worries me that you'll do both) But for the kind of cash these things require there is no incentive. Sure it looks neat, so does every other extremely frivolous spending opportunity. And before the token rich guy defends the price, I have the money, its not the issue. The price per "pixel" ratio here is extreme. If CCP is as hard up for cash as the memo makes it appear, why price these things so obnoxiously high for so many players.
The prices are very self defeating.

Helicity, one of your most passionate players, was banned for the equivalent of a "diaf" comment?
Way to blow things out of proportion.

Yeah. Because everything in life is meant literally.

So whatever you're thinking, you'd better think again! Otherwise I'm gonna have to head down there and I will rain down in a Godly ****ing firestorm upon you! You're gonna have to call the ****ing United Nations and get a ****ing binding resolution to keep me from ****ing destroying you. I'm talking about a scorched earth, mother****er! I will massacre you! I WILL **** YOU UP!
OMG, This guy is threatening death by his casting of the firestorm spell. This is meant literally. He will literally make fire rain down from the sky onto you.
As such, this is a RL threat, and this member should be banned.

It doesn't matter. It is still inappropriate to even say. Why would you joke like that ever?!!
Because its basically the internet version of "f*** off". Getting offended about it is stupid and immature. If I told someone to "Go to hell" does that explicitly mean I want them to travel to an imaginary underworld of darkness, fire and demons? No.
What world do you live in with the verbal moral high ground rises that far?

If that was your response, why did you even bother saying anything at all? And why the **** did it take two days to write that tiny "blog" with an underlying middle finger in it?
